About the Practice
Experience and Philosophy

I completed a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from WWU in 2012. I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in WA, a national board-certified counselor, and a WA state approved clinical supervisor. Much of my experience comes from work as a counselor and supervisor in a community mental health setting. I have been in private practice since 2023, providing counseling for adults and couples.
I approach counseling with the belief that every individual is capable and worthy of creating meaningful change by identifying and utilizing strengths while discovering new strategies or perspectives that support their goals. Research has demonstrated the significant role of a strong therapeutic relationship in successful counseling outcomes. I strive to build a deep understanding of my client's experiences, beliefs, and worldviews toward creating and maintaining a foundation of safety, trust, and acceptance in the counseling space.
Treatment Approaches
Each individual enters the counseling space with unique needs and goals. I utilize a person-centered strengths-based approach, joining with clients in identifying meaningful goals and approachable options for interventions.
